Course Description
The semester topic is: Exploring eLearning and Massive Open Online Courses.
This course will give master level students the opportunity to plan and conduct their own HCI (human-computer interaction) research experi-ment. The course teaches necessary skills to plan and conduct such experiments by example. Students will work on experiments on Massive Open Online Courses a growing field in the domain of eLearning. The course will allow for group work as far as possible.
The course language is English. The course is limited to 15 participants. This is an explorative course that provides the basis for participating in the course Communicating HCI Research, which is offered in parallel. However, both courses can also be taken independently.

- Choosing an experimental design.
- Choosing and dealing with participants.
- Knowledge of experimental methods, observation, and data collection.
