Shashank Ahire is a Ph.D. student at Leibniz University Hannover, under the supervision of Michael Rohs and Wolfgang Neidl. His research topic is the conversational user interface, and it is in the domain of Human-Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence.
Before this, he was an MRes student in Computer Science at Swansea University under the supervision of Prof. Matt Jones. His thesis topic was "Integrating Human and Artificial Intelligence Answers for Smart Speakers"
Earlier, he worked as a Research Associate under Prof. Anirudha Joshi at IDC IIT Bombay for four and a half years. In this tenure, he researched in the area of Text Input, Accessibility, and Emerging technologies. In collaboration, he has published research papers at various international conferences like CHI, MobileHCI, INTERACT, and IndiaHCI.
