Course Description

This course will give master level students the opportunity to plan and conduct their own HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) research experiment. The course teaches necessary skills to plan and conduct such experiments by example. Students will work on experiments on Massive Open Online Courses a growing field in the domain of eLearning. The course will allow for group work as far as possible.

The course language is English. The course is limited to 15 participants.

Course Objectives

  • Planning and conducting HCI experiments.
  • Choosing an experimental design.
  • Choosing and dealing with participants.
  • Knowledge of experimental methods, observation, and data collection.
